Standard routing is the B27 south off the Degerloch plateau, through Möhringen and Echterdingen to the airport. For one person with hand luggage at midday, honestly, the Stadtbahn is fine. It stops being the better option at 04:30, before the first trains, or with two large cases, a small child, or a colleague and a pallet of exhibition samples.
