One van, eight passengers, fixed price.
Großraumtaxi (large-capacity taxi) is the term for any taxi configured to carry more than 4 passengers. In our fleet that means the Mercedes V-Class — a 7- or 8-seater with proper luggage space, sliding doors on both sides, and a rear bench that folds down for skis, surfboards, or oversized cases. The variant we carry as standard is the V-Class 250d (long wheelbase); for groups of 8 we have the V-Class Marco-Polo with reclining captain-chairs.
For airport transfers, the V-Class works for three patterns. Families travelling with checked luggage who don't want to Tetris a Standard E-Class boot. Business groups arriving for a kick-off where keeping the team together for the 30-minute ride is part of the schedule. Sports teams with kit-bags. We handle each of these monthly — the V-Class is our second-most-booked class after the E-Class Standard.
The Van is priced via the km-calculator: from about €61 for Stuttgart-Mitte to STR, locked the moment you confirm, no airport-surcharge or per-passenger fees. Compared to two Standards (3 pax each, requiring two split bookings for a party of 4+) it's typically €30–60 cheaper, plus you have one driver to coordinate with — no convoy logistics, no risk of one car running late.

V-Class pricing follows the km-calculator (the Van is not a fixed-price class). Stuttgart-Mitte to STR is from about €61; longer distance (Tübingen, Reutlingen) is around €149–160. Compared to splitting into two Standard taxis (about €102 for the same example), the V-Class wins on both price and group cohesion.

What people ask before booking.
How many passengers and how much luggage fit in the V-Class?
The Mercedes V-Class is configured as 8 passenger seats (driver + 7 passengers, or 1 + 8 in the larger V-Class Marco-Polo configuration we have on standby). Luggage capacity is up to 8 standard check-in suitcases plus 8 cabin bags. Bulky items (skis, surfboards, kite-equipment, golf bags) fit on request — mention them in the booking notes so we send a vehicle with the appropriate cargo configuration.
Are child seats really included for free?
Yes — bring up to 3 child seats per booking at no extra charge. We carry both 0–13 kg infant seats (rear-facing) and 9–36 kg booster seats (forward-facing). Specify in the booking notes the number and weight category — driver mounts them before pickup so there's no parking-lot fumbling. German road law makes child seats mandatory for kids under 12 / under 1.50 m, so this is genuinely a safety feature, not a courtesy.
Is the V-Class right for a family of four with luggage?
Yes — required, in fact. The Standard E-Class caps at 3 passengers + 3 luggage pieces in our booking system; as soon as you have a 4th traveller the booking flow upgrades you to Van (Mercedes V-Class). €10 more than Standard, and far less cramped: the kids get their own bench, the luggage doesn't need to be Tetris'd into the trunk, and the sliding doors make curbside-loading much easier than an E-Class sedan.
Can we book one V-Class for 8 people, or do we need multiple cars?
One V-Class for up to 8 passengers (or 9 incl. driver). Above 8 we coordinate a multi-vehicle convoy: typically 2 × V-Class for 9–16 pax, or V-Class + E-Class mix for 5–11 pax depending on luggage. We confirm vehicle count when you submit the booking; for groups of 8+ we recommend the enquiry form so dispatch can plan.
What about sports teams or events with shared luggage?
We handle Stuttgart Kickers / VfB Stuttgart youth-team transfers regularly, plus visiting university teams, Bundesliga away-game logistics, and tournament check-ins. The V-Class fits the team kit-bag pattern well — large central cabin space for shared luggage, plus the Marco-Polo variant has reclining captain's chairs for longer pre-game travel. Mention "team transfer" in the notes; we assign a driver who knows the airport-loading-zone routine for groups.
How much does a group transfer cost compared to two regular taxis?
Cheaper, in almost every case. Stuttgart-Mitte to STR is about €61 V-Class versus 2 × €51 = €102 for two E-Class taxis. The savings grow with distance: Tübingen V-Class is about €149 versus 2 × €125 = €250 for two Standards. And the V-Class is one driver to coordinate with, one ETA to track, one card-hold to manage instead of two — operational simplicity matters when you're traveling with a group anyway.
