Drive time is 12 minutes off-peak, 16 during the morning rush. The town spans Nellingen, Ruit, Kemnat and Scharnhausen districts, with a dense Daimler-Tech residential belt around the Forschungs-Center and the Scharnhausen Park development.

Because the distance is short, the morning-flight pickup buffer is also tight: a 06:00 first-wave departure from Ostfildern needs only a 04:45 pickup. We have higher Standard-class share here than in further-out cities — the short ride doesn't pay back the Premium upgrade for most travellers.
