Why fixed-price transfers, not a taximeter

Stuttgart Airport sits 13 kilometres south of the city centre; over that distance a regular taximeter ride typically runs €60–€90, depending on traffic. That spread is the exact reason fixed-price transfers exist: at 04:50 a.m., heading to a 06:55 boarding, you do not want a meter ticking past your patience window. You want the price you saw at booking to be the final amount on your statement.

You see one price for your exact addresses, the vehicle class and the pickup time before you book — VAT included, fixed the moment you confirm. What you see is what you pay, with no per-minute traffic creep and no surge tacked on at the curb after the ride. On request you receive an invoice that states the VAT for your route.

How payment works

The fixed price is charged via Stripe at the moment you confirm the booking. The fixed price you saw on the quote screen is the exact amount debited — no night or public-holiday surcharges, no surprises at pickup. If you cancel more than 24 hours before pickup, the full amount is refunded to the same payment method within 1–10 business days. Between 6–24 hours: 50 % refund. Less than 6 hours or no-show: no refund per the cancellation policy.

The PCI-DSS Level 1 certified Stripe handles the payment details itself — we never see, store, or log full card numbers. For card payments we keep the card brand and the last four digits for our records (so we can match invoices to the correct payment), plus the Stripe PaymentIntent ID for our reconciliation.

When should you book?

For outbound flights from Stuttgart Airport (STR), dispatch recommends booking the moment your flight is ticketed. Every ride is carried out by a PBefG-licensed taxi company and dispatch works around the clock; booking early locks the fixed price against future tariff changes and lets dispatch plan your pickup in good time.

For inbound flights, book once you have a confirmed scheduled landing. Dispatch checks the published arrival time of your flight number before the pickup. Book the pickup about 45 minutes after the scheduled landing — enter your landing time and the booking form sets it for you. 15 minutes of waiting from the booked pickup time are included; longer waits can be coordinated by phone.
